The White House has seized control of the press pool from the White House Correspondents’ Association. In this episode, Bob Deans, a journalist, author, and a former president of the association, describes the pool of reporters who cover the president that they are “proxies for those people across the country who care deeply about the presidency and will never have a chance to ask the president a question. ….
